Trump Takes Aim At North Korea
North Korea's refusal to cease nuclear testing has President Trump ready to launch a "pre-emptive strike." Over the last few days the President has shown he is not afraid to bring the fight to the enemy with the use of some powerful US weaponry.
Earlier this week the commander-in-chief unleashed a MOAB on Afghanistan in a location believed to harbor many ISIS militants. The attack, according to White House officials, was a success as 36 ISIS fighters were killed in the bombing. During a press conference a commander for the US forces who carried out the attack defended the President's decision to use an MOAB saying, "This was the right weapon to use against the right target."
Despite being scrutinized for the attack in Afghanistan, President Trump stands behind his decision and has now set his sights on our long-time enemy who are not letting these threats go unanswered. North Korean leaders are fully prepared to show the US what they're capable of in a "merciless" retaliation attack.
These threats have given some concern about the possibility of a nuclear war. This has been a long-standing issue and despite his desire to stop the testing, in his 8-years in office, former President Obama never made pre-emptive strike threats.
The President is not one to censor himself on his Twitter account and there was no exception to this when he tweeted threats to North Korea, On April 11, 2017 Trump tweeted, "North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A."
It seems, despite the President's attempts to reach a deal with China to be our allies, he is prepared to go to war against North Korea without China's help.
